Watch this Greg Nuckols interview to hear us rap about the art and science of lifting and other kinds of awesomeness.
Personally I like the books very much and I intend to write a review on them soon. But I think it’s important that you know right off the bat, that you will not find a “Greg Nuckols Routine” or a “Omar Isuf Program” in these books.
These are books discussing principles, models and theories. No cookie cutter programs, no templates.
The fact that there are no programs and templates in these books is actually a good thing. You should always try to figure out the principles behind successful training programs so you can tweak it to your own individual situation. The question that these books answers basically is “What do you wish you knew when you started lifting?”.
Omar Isuf Bio
Omar is a YouTube legend! He has a channel that gets hundred of viewers everyday and it has video’s where he does Q&A’s, exercise demonstrations and other kinds of shenanigans. It’s definitely worth checking out.

Who Is Greg Nuckols
I guess most people in the world know by now who Greg Nuckols is. He is the guy that writes tremendously long essay’s on lifting and the involved bio-mechanics and scientific theory.
Back when his main blog was still gregnuckols.com he was the first person that published my guest blog on his website. And for that I ‘m still thankful.
(NOTE: My guest blog post is titled “High Frequency Training for a Bigger Total: Research on highly trained Norwegian powerlifters“)
He’s not just smart with a BS in Exercise and Sports Science, he’s actually also a world record holder of 3 alltime world records in the 220 and 242 classes.
Strengtheory − The online home for thinking lifters
Nowadays Greg is spreading the word via Strengtheory and it’s one of the biggest and best website on anything related to weight lifting.
I really suggest you go over there after watching the interview and check out some of the great content on that website.
If you’re not a visitor of Strengtheory then you definitely have read something from Greg. He’s written for many of the major magazines and websites in the fitness industry, including Men’s Health, Men’s Fitness, Muscle & Fitness, Bodybuilding.com, T-Nation, and Schwarzenegger.com.
Together with his girlfriend Lyndsey they make sure the content on Strengtheory is up to par with their high standards.
In this interview we rap about topics as:
* The Truth Behind “Optimal” Training Programs
* Why virtually all major blogs are so hot on stuff that doesn’t matter
* How To Quickly “Cancel Out” Paralysis By Analysis
* Why 99% of all lifters totally miss the boat when it comes to periodization models
* And much more…
